I was shooting stills for a short film that was getting shot in Kliptown Soweto, these are the candid shots I got while we were on location.

Kliptown is a very poor area in Soweto, but I left with an overwhelming feeling of positivity.

These are from almost ten years ago, but I’ve always loved shooting this type of candid street photography mixed with portraiture, and I think this shoot retains it’s relevance as a result!
